Junior Programs

Deer Park Tennis Club Center offers juniors an array of programs ranging from beginners to advance tennis tournament players.  It is designed to offer the junior player an opportunity to start competing in tennis in a team oriented atmosphere, whether it be recreational tennis, school tennis or tournament play.

Below are the types of programs we offer:

Strokers:   (Beginners)

Weekly one hour classes designed to introduce basic tennis skills and rules to the beginner in a fun filled positive learning environment.

Sessions 1 & 11 – 17 Weeks..............................................(each) $625.00

Spinners:       (Adv. Beginners)

Weekly one hour classes designed to assist the player by reinforcing the fundamentals and adding more consistency to the level of playing ability.

All beginner classes come with 1 hour practice time with other beginners and pro on court Friday Night 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. or 6 p.m. to 7 p.m..

Swingers:  (Intermediate)

Weekly 1 ½ hour classes with emphasis on achieving more consistency, ball placement, court positioning and movement skills during play.

Smashes: (Adv. Intermediate)

Weekly 1 ½ hour classes designed to improve stroke development and match play through extensive drilling and interactive play.

All intermediate classes come with 2 hour practice time with other intimidate players and pro on court Saturday or Sunday 4 pm to 6 pm.

Championship: 

Weekly 2 hour classes specifically designed and targeted toward the advanced junior who is entering junior varsity, varsity school tennis and tournament level competition.  The Championship Junior Program covers such training aspects as:

• stroke production & technique
• high performance drilling
• advanced movement techniques
• ladder matches

Sessions 1 & 11 – 17 Weeks................................................(each) $1200.00

All championship classes come with 2 hours of practice time with other championship players  and pro on court Thursday night 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday 4 p.m. to 6 p.m..

* 24 hour cancellation policy:  all private lessons must be cancelled with the Front Desk 24 hours before the lesson.

Ladder Matches

All juniors in the Championship level are required to play a minimum of two ladder matches each month.  Results from these matches will be recorded on the J.C. ladder board.

Intermediate Level:
Saturday Nights (6:00 – 8:00 pm).......................................$350

We also offer tennis camp during the school year for Christmas recess, Presidents week and Easter recess.
